Fan Question

Hello,

I have a box, and there’s a circular inlet for that box from a fan. I know the fan operates at 1000cfm at 1500 pa static pressure. My question is, do i set the boundary condition of the inlet as velocity inlet with a volumetric flow rate equal to 1000 cfm or do i set a pressure inlet of 1500 pa? I’m a little confused about how to use the two in conjunction.

Hello duunoebruh,

we usually use fan curves to simulate this relationship between the volumetric flow rate and the pressure.
