Extract wall of model

Hi,

I am a beginner in CFD.
Before mesh generation, I have to extract the wall or open inner region.
How can do that with my model?

Thank you.

Best,
Alex

Hi Alex!

Can you let us know what exactly you want to simulate so that we get a rough idea of how the geometry needs to be enclosed.

Cheers!

Hello @jousefm,

I want to simulate with the multiphase model.
In the top, I have 3 ports (left, center, and right) for the inlet with 2 materials (1st material: left+right, 2nd material: center)
In the middle (inside model), I have a first outlet for the center part.
In the bottom, I have a big outlet for 3 inlets. It means two fluids from the left and right parts will meet with one fluid from the first outlet of the center part.
I attached a figure to detailed explanations. Please see it.
Thank you,

Best,
Alex

Hi Alex,

got it! I would have to check if the geometry option is applicable to your geometry and get back to you as soon as I know more. You basically need to close all the inlet(s), correct?

Cheers,

Hi @jousefm,

Thank you so much
I want to close all the boundaries (wall or domain) of both inlets and outlets.

Alex

Hi Alex,

are you able to close the holes with the CAD software you are using? If not I can try doing that for you
