Creating a 2nd order tet10 mesh

Hi All,

I am attempting to simulate torque behavior of a cylinder with a curve. To do this I need 2nd order tetrahedral mesh but I’m having trouble finding the correct option to generate the former in SimScale. I am using a dynamic simulation, I have Element Technologies set to ‘second’. I cannot see any options for 2nd order elements in the mesh panel.

If someone could please advise that would be much appreciated!

Hi @marpenn2, thanks for posting

You are correct, the mesh’s order can be manually defined under “Element Technology”. Keep in mind you’ll need to regenerate the mesh after you change the mesh’s order there. Let me know if that helps!
