Contact between bodies not showing up

Hello SimScale team,

I am having issues with my model linked here

One of the contact surface in the model is not showing up while setting up the simulation (Pic_1). When I do change the contact settings manually, i.e., assign the surface as ‘bonded’, it tends to deform unsusally Pic_2.

Please let me know what am I doing wrong here.

Hi!

I had a look at your model, and found that there is a gap between the parts at the faces where you expect the contact to be detected:

You can fix this in your CAD, or in the CAD Edit mode with a Face - move operation, with the option “up to entity”.
