Hello everyone! My project is about the open water simulation of a marine propeller. I would like to hide the external walls and the MRF zone of my mesh so i can see the surface mesh of the propeller inside, but it wont let me do it. I hide the external mesh and then i can see the MRF mesh, afterwards, i try to hide the MRF mesh to see the wings and hub of my propeller but it is not possible. Do you have any idea about the solution of this problem? (In a previous similar simulations this was possible)
Hi @kanastasiou ,
thank you for your post in the Forum! Also, great to hear from you again!
Could you please share you project so I can take a look at it?
Best,
Renan
Hello! Yes of course. This is the link: https://www.simscale.com/workbench/?pid=8623374282149144027&mi=spec%3A45cfb1b9-6d55-4f61-9067-b8260f358508%2Cservice%3AMESHING%2Cstrategy%3A5&sh=7
Hi @kanastasiou
thank you for sharing the project!
It is indeed unexpected that one cannot hide the MRZ - I will consult the team to invesitgate this further.
As a temporary solution, you can create “Mesh Clips” that go through the propeller to inspect the mesh on the wings and hide some faces. Doing so, the MRZ surface will not disturb the view as much and you will have a clear idea of how the mesh looks like locally.
I hope this helps.
Best,
Renan
