Can I import an assembly file of SolidWorks to SimScale?

I am doing a CFD simulation on Savonius Wind Turbine, the model of it is prepared by solidworks. Can I use the assembly file in SimScale?

hi @tedmund,
you cant import Solidworks assembly file in simscale directly, try to convert into step file first and then import.
look like external CFD so, remember all part of your model should be merged to avoid the multi-body problem in future. ( in meshing)

thanks for replying, yes i already did the conversion. Second question, is refinement compulsory for simulation that involve rotation?

you make to make one rotating zone in your cad model.
