hi, trying to model bolt pre-tension, but when I apply I get this message:
The center and the axis of rotation could not be automatically detected. Please select a different set of faces or reach out to our support team for assistance.
any suggestion on what this means? thanks.

Quick question - did you ensure that the cylindrical bodies are indeed cylindrical? Note that being cylindrical is a pre-requisite for applying preloads.

Hi, that error usually comes up when the software can’t find a clean cylindrical reference. Try selecting the actual cylindrical surface of the bolt shank or hole instead of the flat face
