Assignments are lost for hex-dominant parametric mesh

Hi! I’m having a similar issue where using the mesh as domain deletes all my boundary assignments. Is there a way to avoid that?

Hi there,

The issue you are facing is related to the meshing algorithm you used (Hex dominant parametric). This algorithm does not have the ability to preserve the CAD entities associativity, thus all the assignments must be applied again after the mesh is created.

If you want to avoid this, the suggestion is to use the Standard meshing algorithm, or as a middle ground solution, the hex dominant automatic.

I see that the Incompressible run succeed.

Usually this error on Multi region mesh occurs if you use more than one body for simple flow simulations like Incompressible and Convective Heat transfer. Here is a document on how you can avoid these errors: Error: Multi-Region Mesh in Non-CHT Simulation | SimScale
