I’m just trying out the software to see if I invest more time.
Doing the rod tutorial I notice (in the animation) that the rod is moving in both direction.
Like if I had applied forces in +Y direction AND -Y direction in two time step.
I simply did 1 time step in -Y direction.

Since this is a linear static analysis, the animations do not hold any correlation to time - they are mostly there to provide an idea on how the motion would look like.
In any case, for the post-processing of your simulation, I’d encourage you to change the animation range from ‘Full’ to ‘Quarter’, which provides the effect that you desire.
