All timesteps are the same in the solution / simulation solution frozen

Hi,

I’m trying to do a simple vortex shedding simulation to achieve a result similar to this project: https://www.simscale.com/projects/kimrj/von_k-rm-n_vortex_street_in_2d/

I have a problem that all the timesteps in my solution field are exactly the same. The first two timesteps differ slightly, but from there, they’re all the same. I can’t seem to figure out what I’m doing wrong exactly. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Can you please point me to the specific simulation that shows the unchanging results?

For example, Run 6 in the simulation 0.5cm cylinder with symmetry.

I think that you are seeing a laminar flow here. What is the Reynolds number? Do you expect fully developed turbulence in this case?
