What is the difference between PIMPLE and PISO algorithms for solving transient problems using the k-omega-sst model? Would there be a significant variation in the results generated?

Being very brief, if you have a PIMPLE algorithm operating with 1 outer corrector, then it would operate like a PISO algorithm. Typically, the PIMPLE algorithm will have improved stability over PISO (and it can also speed up simulations, if you push Courant over 1).
