Goal: Use CFD particle flow visualization to inform multiple attempts at optimizing the aiming and mass air flow of a pair of airstreams from a 3D printer part cooling fan dual-outlet mount. Started with this published baseline on Printables.com: https://www.printables.com/model/157511-cr6-5015-part-fan-shroud-dual-fang/files Used Fusion360 to redesign the ducts and export STEP files to upload and analyse on SimScale.com. To work around some stubborn features in the original model, I removed those duct lofts and construction splines and replaced them with my own. Primary focus was to aim the airstreams directly at but slightly below the Dragon Hotend nozzle tip. Many iterations were tried, but this project now contains only the original and final geometries and simulations, showing the impact of my duct design changes.
