Testing two configurations for ventilation in a warehouse. Several heat sources are placed throughout the area. The objective is to evaluate how the different configurations perform in terms of predicted mean vote (PMV) & predicted percentage of dissatisfied (PPD). A total of 20 people (represented as cylinders) were placed inside of the warehouse. Convective heat transfer analysis were carried out, with the radiation formulation on. By placing two simple outlets on the ceiling of the warehouse, ventilation was greatly improved and all 20 people were within the -0.5 to 0.5 PMV range.
