About this project

In 2022 F1 is planning to re-introduce 'ground effect' to F1 cars which enhances the Bernoulli effect and increases downforce. This technology had been piloted by Lotus Team in the 60-70s and is being brought back for the next race season. As CFD is playing an increasingly important role in ground effect aerodynamics I will be simulating the chassis designs which greatly increase this 'ground effect' phenomenon.
