This project investigates the aerodynamic behaviour of a finite-span NACA 0012 wing using 3D CFD in SimScale. The wing has a 100 mm chord and 200 mm span and will be analysed at different angles of attack, initially 0°, 5°, and 10°. The objective is to study lift, drag, aerodynamic efficiency, pressure distribution, wake development, and finite-span effects such as wingtip vortices. The results will later support the development of a simplified Formula 1 rear-wing model and comparison with experimental wind-tunnel testing.
