A general crank shaft model is being analysed for the stresses and strains with linear and non linear static structural analysis modules. This study can be use to analyse some very fundamental stress/strain effects in a crank shaft. Automotive industry is in a front row of innovation and optimization in terms of space, mass, time to manufacture, crash worthiness and ride comfort. Finite element studies of different automotive components are in continuous development with researchers around the world.
