CA2: Dynamic Simulation You are required to perform a dynamic event simulation for a scenario of you choosing. Submit a completed report (using the format on Moodle) and the fusion file to Moodle on the submission date above. Your dynamic event must include interaction between 2 or more bodies that are moving relative to one another causing a collision or impact. Your report should start with explaining your event and the types of interaction expected Study Duration Keep below 0.005 seconds Activity 1: For your dynamic event simulation to output the following results: • Max Stress, Strain and Displacement of the assembly. • Plot of Max Stress and Strain over the event timeline for each material. • Provide a material recommendation based on the results. • Evaluate the impact of Rigid bodies on the study. • Evaluate the influence of Damping in you simulation. Tips for this Assignment: • You do not need to complete a re-design/ design optimisation for this particular assignment i.e Section 4 of report template. • Make sure to apply local meshing to the regions/areas of interest in the study. • Mesh independence study will need to ensure that as the mesh increases in size the stress or strain at a point of interest changes insignificantly after consecutive runs. • Look at possibilities for symmetry to be applied to the model to speed up the solving process.
