Our project goals are 1. Lifting and Holding Test o The electromagnet must be capable of lifting two 250 g weights simultaneously (total 500g) by at least 1 meter in height. o Once lifted, the electromagnet must hold (suspend) these weights while subjected to moderate shaking without losing its grip. 2. Maximum Attraction Distance Test o Using the same electromagnet, each group must measure how far a small steel pin (or equivalent small ferromagnetic object) can be attracted from the magnet.
