Linear static analysis of a square section beam for deflection due to a point load at one end with the other fixed, and comparing the results from different automatically generated meshes with the theoretical result to determine the best configuration for such a study. The second order tet-dominant meshes out-perform the first order meshes, with the results getting closer to the theoretical as mesh fineness increases.
