This project investigates turbulent flow and convective heat transfer within an annular duct, where a stationary outer pipe encloses a rotating inner rod. The analysis, performed in ANSYS Fluent, examines the influence of inner rod rotation speed on flow structure, heat transfer enhancement, and torque requirements. Water is used as the working fluid under a constant heat flux boundary condition. Simulation results show that increasing rotational speed significantly enhances mixing and heat transfer, with moderate increases in pressure drop and mechanical torque.
