This project aims to design and analyze a dragonfly-inspired wing using CFD. The airflow from the leading edge to the trailing edge is investigated to study velocity distribution, pressure variation, flow separation, wake development, and wingtip vortex formation. Vorticity and Q-criterion are used to visualize the three-dimensional vortex structures. The study aims to understand the aerodynamic advantages of dragonfly-inspired wing geometry for potential UAV and micro-air-vehicle applications.
