This nozzle was CADed as part of a Capstone project involving the design, simulation and real-life testing of a cold-gas nozzle. This specific iteration's internal volume contour was generated from the use of the Methods of Characteristics. It will be the one presented as part of a Detailed Design milestone. Our goals are an exhaust velocity of Mach 2 at the nozzle exit plane for an inlet pressure of 105 psi, 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and an exit pressure at atmospheric conditions. This project will have different levels of study - one for the flow immediately outside, and a much larger scale 'deep wake study' where we seek to visualize shock in the exhaust plume behind the nozzle.
