A validation study of the Conjugate Heat Transfer analysis type on SimScale platform, particularly the assignment of heat sources to solid volumes (volumetric and total power input). Results are compared to experimental and analytically calculated data. The case features and air-cooled, unshrouded plate-fin heat sink (PFHS) under forced convection. The source of heat in the experimental study was a transistor enclosed in a plastic casing.
