This project validates the Phase 1 fluid dynamics of SymbioMembrane, a decentralized two-stage PET microfiber remediation system for commercial laundry effluent. The CFD goal is to test a venturi-based cavitation module and hydrocyclone geometry by measuring velocity amplification, pressure drop, outlet flow stability, and cavitation number. The simulation will use incompressible internal flow with water as a first-pass approximation for laundry effluent. Three venturi throat geometries will be compared to identify the best balance between cavitation potential and manageable hydraulic losses.
