i would share this project with you.

The goal is to visualise the flow field around an airfoil at transsonic speed.
The NACA 4 airfoil family was not designed for high subsonic speed.
Thats the reason why this airfoil is interest testing.
The Run3 was simulated with an inlet Speed of Ma 0.6

The fluid is modified that speed of sound is equal to 1m/s.

the solver used for accurate transsonic simulation is rhoCentralFoam.

my advice for accurate simulations with rhoCentralFoam.
Co smaller 0.1
gradient calculation fourth if hexahedral is mesh is used

Everybody who is interested, have a look on rho-, T-,  U-Field.
It is nice watching how the disturbances are traveling around the airfoil and forcing the boundary layer to separate.

-find accurate settings

at first a test model with a coarse mesh is used to find the right boundary conditions for all patches.
the second model should capture the correct shockwave boundary layer interaction.

This project simulates a 2d flow past a cylinder at supersonic flow regime.

The aim of this project is to find the (right) settings for accurate simulation in time, space and concentration of the species.

Project goal:

compare RANS kOmega SST and LES Spallart allmaras.

Interest about mesh requirements


UPDATE:
mesh for LES is to coarse, calculation to time expensive
for fully developed LES inlet condition, a longer inlet section is needed!

this simulation predict the hysteresis phenomena when a buseman airfoil will accelerate above the specific choking mach number  and decelerate to sub sonic speed.

the simulations will done  with rhoCentralFoam with zero viscosity (Euler-Equations)

At first a coarse mesh with around 50k cells is used.

This  project simulate a shock tube under different boundary conditions.
The goal finding appropriate boundary conditions for:
* pressure (non)- reflective
* farfield

and also a maximum Courant number for non oscillating solutions.

Webinar Project- Carotid Artery Bifurcation
The project simulates the flow of blood as a non-newtonian fluid through a realistic Carotid Artery Bifurcation. Simulation are performed for 3 cases- of a healthy blood vessel  with no calcification or blockage and through an moderately and severely calcified or blocked blood vessel. 
The results show the differences in pressure, velocity profile and the outlet flow  through the 2 branches.
