Performace analysis of a split air-conditioner

About this project

The main objective of this task is to analyse the performance of a 1.5 ton rating split type air-conditioner in a room of dimensions 12m by 12m by 2.5m with outside air temperature at 40 degree Celsius and U-value (or coefficient of heat transmission) of 0.05 W m-2 K-1. Different types of turbulence models will be tested and the resulting values will be analysed and to determine the most prefered option.
