This project focuses on the simulation of airflow around a simplified car model placed inside a virtual wind tunnel. The airflow velocity is set to 100 km/h to replicate realistic driving conditions. The main objective is to analyze the aerodynamic behavior of the vehicle, including velocity distribution, pressure fields, and turbulence formation behind the car. Special attention is given to the wake region and its impact on drag. Different geometric variations of the car model are considered in order to minimize the turbulent wake and reduce the drag coefficient (Cd). The simulation is performed using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods. The results will help identify more aerodynamically efficient shapes and demonstrate how geometry influences airflow patterns and resistance forces.
