Transient thermal simulation of a carbon steel pipeline with localized wall thinning to evaluate detectability of internal corrosion using active thermography (heating/cooling response analysis). The goal is to study thermal contrast behavior between sound and thinned pipe sections for screening-based non-destructive inspection.
