About this project

Thermal Mechanical Analysis was carried on the HPT blade designed in DS Solidworks 2017. The loads were applied in 2 sections namely, (i) Mechanical loads in the form of centrifugal force and surface pressure on the leading edge of the blade, and (ii) thermal loads in the form of surface and convective heat flux. The support was kept as elastic to account for the micro displacements occurring due to extremely high temperatures of combustion gases inside of the gas generator of the engine.
