This project simulates the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect within a high-density urban environment to evaluate the cooling efficacy of diverse mitigation strategies. Using a digital twin approach, the model analyzes the complex interplay between solar radiation, wind dynamics (CFD), material albedo, and evapotranspiration from green infrastructure. The core simulation tests "what-if" scenarios—such as replacing traditional asphalt with cool pavements, retrofitting roofs with high-albedo materials, and integrating urban green spaces—to measure their quantitative impact on Land Surface Temperature (LST) and the Universal Thermal Comfort Index (UTCI). The ultimate goal is to provide a scalable, data-driven framework for climate-resilient urban planning and localized heat vulnerability reduction.
