About this project

To determine how much difference in results values will be seen across a range of layering from 0 to 4 boundary layers of a CFD HEX mesh (under unattached flow conditions) within a very strict yPlus wall function range of 20-300 using the kW_SST turbulence model. The meshes have about 99 percent of the geometry surface area within yPlus20-300, with a yPlus surface average of 100 and the mesh refinement changes between meshes is only in the Layering Refinement while keeping the same 1st layer thickness and layer Expansion Ratio on the non zero layer meshes.
