This project aims to simulate the airflow inside a refrigerated truck cargo box used for cold chain transportation. The objective is to evaluate whether the air supplied by the refrigeration unit reaches the rear door area and to identify possible dead zones or poor circulation regions. The truck will be modeled as a simplified rectangular refrigerated compartment. The refrigeration unit will be represented as an air inlet located at the upper front section of the cargo box, while the return airflow will be represented near the lower front section. The analysis will focus first on airflow only, without thermal modeling, using velocity contours and streamlines to evaluate air distribution. The project will also compare possible improvement scenarios, such as adding an auxiliary fan or modifying the airflow direction, in order to improve circulation toward the rear door area.
