This is a project in which a skull plate is attached with 10 titanium screws to the skull of a rat. The skull plate serves to fixate a microdrive containing tetrodes for measuring hippocampal signals. Rats run around in their cage with the microdrive-skull plate entity attaced to their skull. Doing so they will bump repeatedly their head. This project tries to estimate the resulting stress on the skull bones.
