SimScale’s new turbulent atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) allows for faster and more accurate modeling of turbulence. Calculations such as peak and RMS wind loads on a building or façade are calculated by harnessing the power of CFD simulation in the cloud. Engineers working on tall or complex buildings can now use SimScale’s GPU accelerated physics-based solvers for faster design decisions and, more importantly, to comply with relevant codes and building standards.

In this live demo, our application engineers will show how the new ABL profile works and how it can be applied to building designs. The demo will feature a step-by-step process of applying the new wind profiles and showing results that can be used in the design and to demonstrate compliance.
