This session will present an axisymmetric viscous case. As we have been studding previously,
the Navier-Stokes equations can usually neglect the convective term if the fluid has very high
viscosity, the velocity is low and has a predominant direction and the geometry of the case is well
delimited. The geometry presented in this case has an axisymmetric configuration, and it will helps
its configuration and the set-up of the case.

As we have been studding in the course lectures, if the fluid has very high viscosity, the velocity
is low and has a predominant direction, velocity gradients are also low and the geometry of the case
is well delimited, the convective term in the Navier-Stokes equations can usually be neglected in
front of the viscous term. Then, a very low Reynolds number characterizes these flows, and they
are typically laminar. The dynamic equations (Navier-Stokes without the inertial terms) are known as
Stokes equations, and these flows as Stokes flows.
