Project description (SimScale – CFD/FEA) This project involves numerical simulation of internal fluid flow and structural behavior of a disk-shaped mechanical system with closed-loop channels. The objective is to study flow stability, pressure distribution, and thermal effects within toroidal ducts under steady-state and transient conditions. CFD simulations are used to analyze velocity fields, turbulence behavior, and flow asymmetry inside the internal channels. The results are intended to support investigation of force distribution, flow-induced loads, and overall system balance during low-speed and stationary operating conditions. FEA simulations are performed to evaluate structural stresses, deformation, and thermal expansion caused by internal flow, rotation, and temperature gradients. The analysis focuses on material limits and mechanical stability of the housing and internal components. The project is conducted purely as a computational research study. All simulations are intended for numerical validation of fluid and structural behavior only, without claims of real-world propulsion performance.
