This project aims to investigate the effect of perforated plate geometry on airflow characteristics within ventilation ducts using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Different plate configurations will be analysed to evaluate pressure drop and airflow uniformity under consistent inlet conditions. The simulation results will be compared to understand how geometric parameters, such as hole diameter, spacing, and open-area ratio, influence ventilation performance. The study aims to identify a suitable perforated plate configuration that balances low pressure loss with uniform airflow distribution.
