About this project

A propeller is a mechanical device generally used for propelling boats or aircraft. The balance of a quad copter fully depends upon its propeller. This study aims to find out the better geometrical and operating conditions for a quad copter propeller model. The study has been performed both experimental and numerical to get a better-compared result. The numerical analysis is carried out in ANSYS. The result suggests that the increasing number of blades is suitable for increasing the efficiency of a quad copter propeller. The environmental air also impacts on the propeller performance as it is found that the mixed air with a certain increasing inlet air velocity increases the propulsive efficiency of the quad copter.
