Helical spring stress analysis is performed to determine how stress and deformation are distributed along a spring when an external load is applied. Using cloud-based simulation tools like SimScale, a 3D model of the spring is analyzed under static structural conditions by applying appropriate material properties, boundary conditions, and forces. The simulation generates a von Mises stress contour plot, where different colors represent stress intensity. High-stress regions appear in red (critical zones), typically at the inner curvature of the spring coils due to combined torsional and bending effects, while low-stress regions appear in blue.
