About this project

A threaded joint is subjected to a tensile load of 5000 N with a temperature of 100 C. The outer surfaces of the treaded joint are applied with convection of 20 W/m2-K, while keeping the other end fixed. Determine the von mises stresses along with the temperature distribution along this threaded joint.
