# Post processing

Is it possible in post processing to plot a function of a scalar. example: If I want to plot square of the x-displacement?

Welcome to the forum!

Currently it is not possible to perform custom operations on the result fields (such as the Calculator filter in Paraview for example).

Maybe you could elaborate a little bit on why would you need this functionality? Maybe share a specific application case that can motivate our product team to consider the feature.

Hi there. As a researcher, I perform many post processing operations that are not very common among most FE analysts. An example is when I had to perform a Neuber’s elasto-plastic correction. Such post processing is important to me in identifying patterns in structural behaviour.
