Hello:

I am trying to run a dynamic simulation of a Forumla one car crashing into a barrier.

The problem I am having is a meshing issue “Mesh Operation failed” due to a self intersection in the mesh. However, by placing a point within the coordinates given, their is nothing there. I am pretty new at this kind of stuff and I am having a lot of dificulties.

I need some help on figuring out how can I solve this as fast as possible, as I am doing this for my school project.

Thanks!

Hi @felipe_lee_202 ,

Have you checked this article out for exactly the same problem and a very similar model: [Surface Meshing Self-Intersection | Knowledge Base | SimScale](https://www.simscale.com/knowledge-base/intersections-in-model/)

Best,
Satvik

Hi @shenoy ,

I read the article, but I believe my situation is different. In my case, the meshing error occurs in areas where there is nothing present. I’m not sure how to resolve this issue. I will upload a picture to help illustrate what I mean.

Thank you very much!
Felipe
