I created a new simulation project called 'Heat transfer development between two plates':

A project to observe heat transfer between a heated and a cooling plate and a body of water. Emphasising on observing the transition from conductive to convective dominant heat transfer and mixing.

The development of natural convection is interesting, In this example, convection developing on two infinite plates in the X and Y-direction convecting in the Z-direction. This type of convection is commonly called Rayleigh-Bénard Convection, the lower plate is heated and the upper plate is cooled, therefore the fluid will convect in both directions.
