'GT86 Modified Geometry' simulation project by lesterneo

I created a new simulation project called 'GT86 Modified Geometry':

modified geometry

More of my public projects can be found here.

Hey @lesterneo!

Nice geometry! I think before you mesh it it’s good idea to simplify it by removing unnecessary details e.g. logos, small grids, disk brakes etc. Moreover, try to upload a .step or .stp format with a solid or solids. Also make sure that your geometry is in meters since SimScale follows SI units otherwise your geometry will be imported in wrong units as is the case now.

You can also have a look at [this] (https://www.simscale.com/projects/Milad_Mafi/aerodynamics_analysis_of_a_sports_car_1/) project for more help.

Hope this helps. If you have any question/s, feel free to ask.

Good luck!

Thanks @ahmedhussain18 !

I am trying to simplify the geometry, but my PC is too slow !

Have not done any flow simulation this complex before so i’m still learning! I will take a look at that resource.

Thanks again!!

Hey @lesterneo!

You can use Onshape for this which is a online CAD tool  Furthermore, you can directly import your geometry from Onshape to SimScale via our import API. You can see [here] (Merging solids in Onshape and meshing) how to directly import it

Good luck!
