I am trying to run a cfd simulation of an open wheel racecar with an undertray/diffuser. I have done a number of successful simulations already but for the simulation: “ut7”, I am getting an error (Fatal I/O error) shortly after I run the simulation. Could someone give me some advice on how to fix this?

This is very strange indeed, I do not see any glaring issues with the simulation. Have you tried to start the simulation more than once? Sometimes I encounter this issue with no obvious issues but a simple re-run with nothing changed works.

I tried re-running the simulation and also starting from scratch with the geometry, got the exact same error.

i think so, i just refined the outer region mesh slightly for that simulation, hopefully i don’t run into any other problems.
