Error in Thermal resistance model

Hi

I’m trying to analyze the max temperature with a thermal resistance model. But for some reason, when I/m running it, it shows an error - “Some Thermal Resistance Network faces are not in contact with other bodies. Please, ensure that all faces of Thermal Networks are connected to either a solid or a fluid.”

Link 2 is the actual project that I want to simulate. I thought the change in the enclosure might solve the error. But it didn’t.

How can I clear this error?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there, this is Fillia!

It seems there is an issue with a particular face that belongs to Body33:

face

So I isolated Body 33 and tried to find the specific face. It turns out this is the face:

You can see how the flow region has a driving curve, and is not coincident to this side:

This means that a portion of the face is not in contact with the flow region.

Could you try to use the CAD mode instead?

Best regards,
Fillia

Thanks for the reply. I changed the cad model but still getting an error. Please check this link

It seems to be running now  Did you make any additional changes?

I added another flow volume so that the face is in contact with one. But that doesn’t represent the actual case as I want the heat to be conducted to the heat sink on the other side.

I am happy it works, filling that gap in some way is indeed the only solution here
