Downloading a splitted STL

Hello All, how can I download a splitted STL file (the splitted STL was done in SimScale). It will only allow me to download the original STL?

Hi @jairogut!

That’s correct, only the original can be downloaded. For splitting outside SimScale you can either use your CAD program or OnShape with their split operation.

Thank you a lot for the prompt answer. I will check that out in OnShape.

Well I just found a workaround (not very efficient though). I meshed the STL and I downloaded the mesh. It comes with the TriSurface folder and the splitted STL ASCII file that should be compatible right away with snappyHexMesh
