'CNC router table analysis' simulation project by Milad_Mafi

The CAD model is courtesy of GrabCAD member Hesham. The CAD model was uploaded in STEP format. The mesh has been generated using an automated tet-meshing operation and the result is shown below.

Three different simulations have been carried out on the SimScale platform. First a static stress analysis of the table has been done to check on the deformation of the table in production mode. Secondly an eigenfrequency analysis of the table was performed to identify risky frequencies that might lead to a vibrating table. Lastly an harmonic analysis has been performed to check on the structural integrity of the table under vibrational loading.

The results allow a detailed assessment of the structural performance of the table and enable the designer to improve the design early in the design process. The figure above shows the Cauchy stress response of the static stress analysis. The figure below shows one of the eigenmodes of the table.

The figure below shows the harmonic response of the y displacement of the table within a specific frequency range.
