'Chewie 3D FEA' simulation project by jhorv_th

I created a new simulation project called 'Chewie 3D FEA':

Analysis of 3D printed part

More of my public projects can be found here.

#2

To check my 3D printed chewing gum holder design I ran some quick FEA simulations.

One run focused on the effects of tensioned rubber band between the fixation point and the anchor. The second one was to determine the effects of squeezing of the parts.

The actual OS CAD model and drawing can be found below:

It seems that it will cope with the "operating conditions" so I can't wait to see it in real life.

The design -by the way- will be printed out of 3 parts in order to reduce machine time, cost and imrpove printability.

Drop test is something I'll maybe do later.

The part arrived and it is like expected. It was a fun hobby project!

I attach some pictures about the final product. I really like the smooth workflow with Onshape and SimScale! Big thanks for both of them for providing professional CAE tools even for free!

Have a nice weekend y’all!

Cheers,
