Can't import geometry

Hi Everyone. This is the first question I post here. I am pretty new to Simscale. I am trying to model a turbulent flow over a geometry of a fossil but the geometry (stl. format) wouldn’t finish importing. It uploads just fine, hits 100% easily but then it wouldn’t import. I don’t know what to do. Could it be that the file is too big? I don’t think so… it’s about 300Mb. Can anyone help? I can send the geometry I want to use.

Hello Daniel,

As you are importing a .stl file, the quality of the file plays a huge role in import.

You can try to upload the file and deactivate all of the optimization options, which will allow for
a fast upload and import.
